Surveys carried out in several European countries show that 1 out of every 20 people in the total population are experiencing involuntary urine loss at some stage in their lives. In some age groups, this can even increase to 1 out of every 5.

This means that worldwide millions of people have to deal with incontinence, which can vary from very mild to quite severe.

Although incontinence occurs in all age categories, elderly people are particulary affected due to the natural ageing process. It is also more prevalent in women than in men.

Most people feel reluctant to talk about it, even with their doctor, which is a pity, because there are solutions that will give you the confidence to lead as normal a life as possible. The most important thing is to find the right solution for you.
